Wednesday 6-7 pm class commencing 19/2/20
Stretch and Flow Yoga: this class combines mindful breathing with a series of flowing yoga movements, balance and stretching poses to enhance muscle tone, flexibility, balance and focus. Each class will commence with a guided meditation activity, combining mindful breathing with reflection on a selected bible verse to help transition from the day’s events, calm and focus the mind and invite Jesus to meet with you on your yoga mat. Options will be given throughout the class to modify poses and incorporate the use of props such as blocks, bolsters and straps (supplied by Living Waters Sanctuary) so the class is accessible to all levels of yoga experience. A calming and centring relaxation using a lavender eye pillow and a closing prayer of thanks will complete the practice, leaving you feeling re-energised, refreshed and refocused. This class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience and flexibility.
Sunday 4-5pm class commencing 23/2/20
Gentle/Restorative Yoga: a beautiful way to complete the weekend and start a new week, feeling refreshed and relaxed. Each class will begin with a guided meditation on a selected bible verse to promote a sense of peace and a calmer, more focused mind and then flow into gentle stretching and balance poses integrating mindful breathing. A soothing relaxation, using a calming lavender eye pillow followed by a prayer of thanks will complete the practice. The use of blocks and bolsters are encouraged throughout this class to facilitate a gentle and restful practice. You will leave feeling more centred and connected with Christ, with a renewed sense of purpose for the week ahead. This class is suitable for all levels of yoga experience.
